Baruch Naftel Singing Meheira!!!

This past week at the Rothenberg wedding, Baruch sang Shwekeys well known "Meheira" for the Chosson and Kallah. He was accompanied by Eli Wax, a good friend of One Man Band + Plus and an amazing One Man Band himself based out of Lakewood, New Jersey. We feel that Baruch's voice on this track sounds especially good and we're sure that once you hear it you will feel the same way.

Mountaindale Video

This video was created by Hillel Kapnick for the Alumni of Yeshivas Zichron Mayir of Mountaindale. The video features the song "Adam Lo Nivra" composed by Hillel Kapnick and "Mountains above me" originally composed by Yitzy Waldner and with lyrics by Baruch Naftel, Shaya Rothenberg, Hillel Kapnick, and Nachman Seltzer.

HASKEIN ATZMECHA

Baruch Naftel of One Man Band + Plus put together two CD's with the Alumni of Yeshivas Zichron Mayir of Mountaindale and Chaim Halpern. One of the songs they recorded for these CD's,  "Haskein Atzmecha" was composed by Baruch himself and features his voice as well. The sheet music for Haskein Atzmecha can be found here.

Rothenberg Sheva Brachos

This past Monday night Hillel and Baruch traveled to Mountaindale to play the Sheva Brachos of our dear friend Shaya Rothenbergs Brother Nachy. The Sheva Brachos was unbelievable and the Simcha was enhanced greatly by the music courtesy of One Man Band + Plus.

Bar Mitzvah Pictures!!!

Bar Mitzvah

 Hillel and Baruch will be playing a Bar Mitzvah this upcoming Sunday. They went to practice in the Shul where the Bar Mitzvah will be taking place. These are some photos from the practice.

New Track in the works!!!

Things here at hillelKAPS Productions never seem to be planned. One of our friends Shragi, had composed a high part to a song and he was looking for a low part that would fit perfectly with it. Shragi came to our studio and started jamming with Hillel. Then Baruch came along and out of nowhere composed a high part to Shragies song!!! this was then followed by a major jam session where Hillel came up with the music and arrangements to the song. The song is an "Aishes Chayil" but just because there are many songs composed from the words of Aishes Chayil dont let this one fool you. Its something completely original and an Aishes Chayil unlike any other. Stay tuned for news on the recording of this track and many more to come!

Rothenberg Wedding

 Nachy Rothenberg (son of the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Zichron Mayer in Mountaindale) got married this past Tuesday night into the Beer family from Lakewood, New Jersey. The wedding featured music by our friend Eli Wax and both Shaya Rothenberg (brother of the Chosson and a personal friend of ours), and Baruch Naftel of One Man Band + Plus sang throughout the course of the wedding. Baruch led off the night with an unbelievable rendition of Shwekeys "Meheira" and proceeded to keep the guests entertained with his voice. Shaya added a burst of flavor to the nights songs with a mashup of "Piha Pascha" (from Oif Simchas), "Aishes Chayil" (from Shwekey), and Carlebach's "Aishes Chayil". Eli Wax who has an amazing voice himself kept everyone dancing far past the typical time that weddings usually end and everyone had an amazing time.

Sheva Brachos

One Man Band + Plus traveled to Monticello, NY yesterday to play the newly married Chanowitz's Sheva Brachos. The night was full of music and the dancing didn't stop for a second. Hillel and Baruch played a wide range of music from mainstream Jewish hit songs to old Lubavitch Nigunim as requested by the family.

5 Star Studios-Chaim Y Halpern

5Star Studios based in Monsey, NY  is run and operated by one of One Man Band + Plus's main musical advisors Chaim Y Halpern. He has assisted in recording much of our music as well as producing his own albums such as The Relaxing Moments series,Tantz Mit Shloimy Daskal,  a Kumzits album also featuring Shloimy Daskal called "Chavraya",and many more.....Although Hillel from One Man Band + Plus currently has his own studio, We have worked in music with Chaim many times and are always impressed with his knowledge of music and his patience in the studio. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and we look forward to working with him much more in the future.

Eishes Chayil

Baruch Naftel not too long back composed an Aishes Chayil. He went to 5 Star Studios and recorded it along with child soloist Avi Sabo (from Kol Noar Boys Choir)

A few weeks ago, dozens of artists  gathered at Bennett Studios in Engelwood, NJ for the concluding chorus of the special Unity song that has united over 35 Jewish artists from all over the world, in order to raise awareness and bring justice to R’ Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin.

MBD, Yeedle, Yossi Goldstein, M. Shnitzler, Baruch Levine, Yehudah Green, Benny Friedman, Y-Love, DEscribe, Shloime and Dovid Dachs, Shira Choir, Sparks Choir, A. Klien, M. Werzberger, Shua Kessin, Beri Weber, C. Lanzbom, Yoni Zigelbaum, M. Kravitzky, Yanky Lemmer, Avi Begun, Rivi Schwebel, and others have conributed their voices for this song.

Advice to Singers, Songwriters, Producers etc.

Just wanted to give a little advice to all singers and musicians out there. In my experience there is one thing thats more important than all the music you will ever make, all the songs you will ever compose, and all the albums you will ever produce. This important thing is the enjoyment of what you are doing. Music is something to be enjoyed and something to have fun with. Theres nothing like seeing a guy who wants to sing at a simcha decide that he doesn't
